Famous Frenemies Daniel Negreanu And Doug Polk Will Lock Horns In High Stakes Duel 4

The highly anticipated High Stakes Duel 4 match is just around the corner, with Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk all set to rematch against each other. The duo is prepared to lock horns and feature on the PokerGO heads-up show, starting with the $200,000 pot round in August 2023.

While the official date was not determined earlier, we now have clarity about this highly awaited clash. Famous frenemies Negreanu and Polk will play their High Stakes Duel 4 rematch on 24th August 2023. This clash is all set to go down this Thursday at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on PokerGO!

Daniel Negreanu And Doug Polk Rematch

Daniel Negreanu got the better of Eric Persson in Round 1 of High Stakes Duel 4 in May 2023. It was a $50,000-per-player buy-in event. However, the stakes will now be higher for the Poker Hall of Famer, with Negreanu battling a much more formidable opponent in Polk. Both the players will put up $100,000, and the game won’t end until someone has all the chips.

Negreanu and Polk squared off against each other in one of the most publicised heads-up challenges in poker history three years ago. It saw the then bitter rivals (namesake friends) battle it out against each other, with Polk winning the 25,000-hand battle at $200/$400 No-Limit Hold’em stakes by $1.2 Million.

They are set to face off again in what people expect to be a crazy encounter. Polk can be considered to be amongst one of the best heads-up poker players in the international poker circuit. Negreanu, who also has heads-up cash game experience, will have a lot to prove this time around. It remains interesting to see if Polk can make it two wins in a row, or we will see Negreanu get his revenge.
