Canadian poker pro Daniel Negreanu has always been vocal about his views and thoughts. He is often seen sharing his thoughts publically on his social media. However, in his recent tweet, he went on to allege that previously accused poker cheater Ali Imsirovic is still using his dirty tricks on online poker sites. He further called for all poker sites and online card rooms to ban Imsirovic.
Negreanu, earlier today, posted an elaborate tweet wherein he described how the Bosnian-American player uses unfair means while playing poker online, and hence he should be banned. “Before knowing about Ali Imsirovic’s transgressions, I thought he was a lifer who loved the game and would be a tournament fixture for a long time. I’m hearing that he is continuing his antics and is likely irredeemable at this point. All operators, both online and live, should proactively ban him indefinitely. He is the opposite of remorseful and is actually boastful, bragging about robbing former friends,” DNegs wrote.

Naturally, the bold statement from the six-time WSOP bracelet winner attracted a lot of support from the poker fraternity. Have a look:
So crazy how he was poker’s golden boy and now this

Wow. Big statement here from arguably pokers biggest voice.

This right here is the nail on the coffin with Daniel’s weight/pull. GG Ali and anyone who does this to the community.

There’s very little accountability in poker because people just forget and move on….glad you’re calling it out

I wish casinos could understand that bad person will actually lose the money overall… at Lucky chances there was a guy so obnoxious. He was a regular, and quite often he would sit down. The rest of us refused to play with him and broke the table.

Probably due to the fact that people think poker is any easy way to make money when in fact the contrary is true, it’s exceedingly difficult way to make a living.

Thanks for sharing. It’s important for this type of chatter to reach mainstream instead of just staying within the inner circles of the high stakes culture. Only way to potentially stop these types of actions is to make the entire poker world aware.

Of course he is, we are all kidding ourselves if we believe he isn’t on all the major sites. Until there is an an actual financial or criminal punishment that hurts him he will continue.

I love this version of you , hope you expose more cheaters you know

Last year, Imsirovic, along with Jake Schindler, was temporarily restricted from PokerGO Tour events. The 2021 GPI Player of the Year was accused of collusion during live poker tournaments. It was also alleged that the two used real-time assistance (RTA) tools online.
After the accusations, the high-stakes crusher lost all the respect over the past year due to the allegations. Reportedly, he is permanently banned from GGPoker as part of an RTA crackdown. GGPoker ambassador Jason Koon-led The Poker Integrity Council (PIC) was especially instituted last year to investigate probable online cheating allegations following Imsirovic and Schindler scandal.
The council gave several former accused cheaters a second chance. However, it did not feel like Imsirovic deserved another shot. In 2022, Alex Foxen was the first high-profile poker player to accuse Imsirovic and Schindler publicly. Foxen was followed by other pros like Chance Kornuth, who called for a ‘poker blacklist.’
