Chris Moneymaker To Open A Poker Room In Kentucky
As per a news report on pokernews.com Chris Moneymaker is all set to launch a poker room in Kentucky. The news report stated that the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2003 Main Event winner will launch a social card room called Moneymaker’s in the month of August 2022. Furthermore, the news reports stated that Moneymaker wanted to dip his toes into the booming poker scene in Texas but eventually decided against that idea.
The upcoming poker room is Moneymaker’s independent business venture. The poker pro who busted from the WSOP 2022 Main Event on Day 4 received his business license on 9th June 2022 under the title of Moneymaker’s Social Club which is a limited liability corporation (LLC) as per public records.
The business name reportedly explains what kind of card room Moneymaker will be launching—a social club on the lines of a poker room which operates in Texas. This business set-up is established keeping in mind the stringent gambling laws in the state.

Moneymaker chose Kentucky not Texas owing to lesser competition in the Bluegrass State. Poker is reportedly growing at a very rapid pace in the Lone Star State and many card rooms are popping up across the state. But in Kentucky, a handful of social card clubs exist which means the competition is less and this works better for Moneymaker.
As per the former PokerStars ambassador, Moneymaker’s will house eight poker tables with a provision for extra tables if the venue is hosting bigger events. Moneymaker is not ready with an official launch date but is looking at August 2022 for the grand opening stated pokernews.com.
