‘Blackcod’ wins The Elite tournament on Spartan

Last night, ‘Blackod’ emerged victorious in the Elite tournament of The Spartan Poker which guarantees a prizepool of 18 Lakhs for a buy-in of INR 11,000. ‘Blackcod’ was the player who eventually outlasted 154 entries to claim top prize of INR 459,900. The champion defeated ‘rahul1981’ in heads-up battle with the latter picking up INR 316,800 for his effort.

This 6-max event ended in Level #37 with blinds running 8,000-16,000-2,000. ‘rahul1981’ with As 6s and ‘Blackcod’ had a pocket pair of 5c 5h. Like many heads-up battles, this final round saw both the players move all-in pre-flop and on the board of 3c Qs Kc 2s 2c, ‘Blackcod’ took the down the title with two pairs. 

Speaking about high value tournaments, starting from this Monday, 8 October,  the exciting Spartan Super Series (SSS) will take place at Spartan featuring a total of 37 tournaments and prizepools in excess of INR 4.5 Crores! The series will culminate on 14 October with The Millionaire feturing as the Main Event of the series. A massive INR 1 crore guarantee is on offer for a buy-in of INR 7,700 in this re-entry tournament. The series is being dubbed as a special ‘XS edition’ where any player who makes maximum re-entries in any of the featured tournaments will be awarded with iPhone-XS!

All tournaments in the series will feature on the monthly Cool and Hot leaderboards and the SSS Leaderboard itself has 10 Lakhs cash prize with 4 Laksh being awarded up top.
