Baazi Games to invest heavily in gaming industry

The gaming industry in India has come a long way since the last decade and one among the leading platforms in the country, PokerBaazi has gained a huge market share in the last five years. Expanding its user base since its commencement, the company has added fantasy sports and rummy to its spectrum. With its investments around myriads of forums, the company is looking forward to expanding and exploring the game of skills in the country.

Talking of which, Baazi Games Group planned to pump INR 35 Crore in the Indian gaming industry to invest in innovative startups towards the development of the latest gaming technology in the country. On Tuesday, the company announced that the procedure is planned to take place in the next 6 months.

The Indian gaming space is expected to grow 22% CAGR and has been attracting big investments in the last couple of years. The founder and CEO of Baazi Games Navkiran Singh said, “Baazi Games has played a major role in revolutionising the way card games, and fantasy sports are played in the country today. Our investment of $5 million in the Indian gaming industry will further catalyse the growth of the industry and pave way for newer innovations. With this vision, we hope to become a technology incubator in the industry and look forward to the bright future of gaming in India.”

Baazi Games Group also entered with Online Fantasy and Rummy markets with BalleBaazi and RummyBaazi, respectively. The former launched in 2018 and is being operated by SBN Gaming Network and now has a majority stake in this fantasy sports venture. BalleBaazi also raised $4 million in Series A Funding from the private equity funds this year in July.

Starting its journey in 2014 with the poker gaming app PokerBaazi, the company now has a user base of about 3 million!
