Asian Poker Tour teams up with Natural8 for first-ever online series

With the shut down of casinos around the world to contain the spread of harmful COVD-19 virus and imposition of quarantine restrictions on the citizens bringing life to a standstill. Live poker is on a hiatus for the time being which has opened doors for online sites, increasing their activity worldwide.

Plenty of live tours have shifted online like yesterday concluded the Poker Masters Online Championship on partypoker. The events in Asia have ramped up their offerings online and a leading Asian brand to join the force is the Asian Poker Tour (APT). About a month ago APT announced the online series slated to run between 29 April to 10 May 2020 after collaborating with Asia’s leading online poker platform, Natural8.

The 12-day long series is appearing for the first-time ever on Natural8 featuring 62 events and over 180 satellites and more than 1.5 million GTD in prizes. What more would you want?! APT would also award trophies to all winners including the APT Player of the Series.

• May 5th – Main Event ($500 buy-in)
• May 6th – Pot Limit Omaha Championships ($400 buy in)
• May 7th – Short Deck Championships ($400 buy in)
• May 10th – Championships ($800 buy in)

The buy-ins start at $50 while satellite tourneys buy-ins begin at $6. The $200 Progressive Bounty Hunters and $5,000 Super High Rollers are also on the schedule. Interestingly, players can also look forward to playing with Natural8‘s Team ambassadors such as Michael Soyza, Kitty Kuo, Toma Tsugunari, Kosei Ichinose and many more.

APT General Manager and Executive Tournament Director, Lloyd Fontillas earlier commented, “As a land-based operator, I have put together a schedule mimicking our great tournament structures fit for our regular players with many different buy in options. Starting times will vary from event to event in order for players to concentrate on one event of their choice within the day. As for the online grinders that love to multi-table, Natural8 will still continue to host their great guaranteed daily events running beside the APT schedule.”
