Asia Poker League This May in Vietnam

The inaugural edition of the Asia Poker League (APL) Road Series Vol.1 Philippines kicked off on 24th February and concluded on 1st March 2018. After the success of that first edition, it wasn’t long before they decided to launch Season 2, to be held in Vietnam this time around.

Three Indians managed to make it to the money in the APL Vol.1 held in Manila – Rajesh Goyal (17th for ~INR 94,900), Jayjit Ray (27th for ~INR 65,500), and Agampal Dhupar (36th for ~INR 56,500). Season 2 of the Asia Poker League has now been announced, to be played at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Pro Poker Club is the first poker club in Ho Chi Minh City that has been running since 2017. The Asian Poker Tour also made a stop at this casino earlier this year. The APL Vietnam tournament series is scheduled to take place between 25th May and 4th June 2018 and a total of 18 side events will be played during these 11 days.

Apart from that, the Main Event will be played out over 7 days, with a buy-in of VND 11 million and a guarantee of VND 5 billion. Satellites to this event are also available at a buy-in of VND 1 million. The smallest buy-in across all events is VND 4 million (~INR 11,700) while the biggest buy-in event goes all the way up to VND 25 million (~INR 73,000) – the APL Vietnam High Roller Event.
