Ashish Ahuja claims another Mega Stack title on Spartan

Ashish Ahuja plays under the username ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ on The Spartan Poker and even though this player has been around for quite a while now, his consistency has been improving leaps and bounds in the last few months, taking down plenty of online poker titles across all major Indian platforms.

Spartan is one place in particular where he has been winning consistently, taking down a featured tournament every now and then. Yesterday was another good night for him in online poker as he won the Mega Stack on Spartan, and this isn’t even the first time he’s won this tournament.

Mega Stack INR 12 Lakh GTD takes place every Tuesday night at 7:30pm on Spartan and with a buy-in of INR 3,300, 357 entries registered to the event in total. From these, the top 31 shared the prize pool with a minimum cash prize of INR 10,560 each and Ahuja was the biggest winner of the night, receiving a hefty pay-check of INR 2,53,800.

Ahuja has been having a good run, last winning the Mega Stack itself on 25th September, while also winning The Endeavour on PokerBaazi around a week back. In heads-up last night, he beat another good player in ‘boom345’, who won The Flash on Spartan a couple of months back. Yesterday, boom345 won INR 1,70,880 for finishing second.

The tournament came to an end at 1:34am this morning, in Level #55 with the blinds at 25,000/50,000 – 5,000. Ahuja held a chip lead of around 2.5:1 before the final hand occurred. Here, boom345 shoved pre-flop with 4s Ah and Ahuja called with Qh As. The board rolled out 6h 6c Ad 9h 8c and both players hit Aces and Sixes, but Ahuja won the pot and title with a higher kicker, Queen.
