If you are an active member of the Indian poker community, you would know that Arjanveer Chadha is among the top names in the online circuit at the moment. For him, winning is regular and titles come as easy as counting sheep. Just recently too, he added another title to his trophy cabinet, winning last night on Spartan Poker.
Every Thursday night, Spartan hosts a relatively newer tournament called Head-Hunter INR 10 Lakh GTD which is a progressive knockout tournament that has a buy-in of INR 5,500 and begins at 8pm sharp. Yesterday, Chadha was a part of a field of 215 entries and eventually, he was crowned champion by the time the tournament ended at 1:49am this morning.
Chadha plays as ‘bazzingaa’ on Spartan Poker and his win last night allowed him to make another handsome addition to his poker bankroll, winning INR 2,32,500 from the tournament prize pool. In addition to this, he won from bounties collected throughout the tournament too.
PKO is always a fun format and this was a pretty exciting tournament too, as Chadha beat the field that included ‘you3betI4bet’ in heads-up. The latter had to eventually settle for INR 1,57,500 plus bounties for his runner-up finishes. In the final hand, Chadha had a 4:1 chip lead and shoved pre-flop with Ts Ah. His opponent called with pocket Eights and while he was ahead till the 2s 5c Qs 3d turn card on the board, Chadha managed to hit an A-5 straight after 4s opened on the fifth street, taking the pot and the Head-Hunter title too.
Similar featured tournaments take place daily on Spartan Poker and more often than not, we see known regulars like Arjanveer Chadha taking home all the glory. For more updates on such major online poker tournaments, make sure you stay tuned to GutshotMagazine.com.
