ARIA High Roller Series Finds Winners In Imsirovic, Katz And Zufic


The ARIA High Roller Series kicked off this weekend at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Many top high-stakes poker players competed in the events as part of the PokerGO Tour (PGT). The series started on 24th February and the first Event #1: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em was shipped by Poker Central and PokerGO founder Cary Katz for $137,340.

The next Event #2: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em was clinched by high stakes player Ali Imsirovic for $129,600. Event #3 $15,000 No-Limit Hold’em was won by Ivan Zufic for $198,000. So far, the ARIA High Roller Series has generated $1.3 million in prize money. Players like Daniel Negreanu, Jeremy Ausmus, Erik Seidel, Seth Davies, among others also played in the series.

Top players Alex Foxen and Sean Perry also performed well but did not win any titles. Currently, Perry is placed second on the PokerGo Tour (PGT) leaderboard while Foxen is placed sixth. Negreanu also had a fantastic run so far and cashed in two final tables. He is currently standing in the ninth position on the PGT leaderboard.

Event #1 No-Limit Hold’em

Katz emerged victorious from a player field of 41 entries. He went head to head with Brian Rast in the final table but ended the tournament with a heads-up chop, according to news updates. While Katz took home $137,340 in prize money, five-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Rast took home $108,660 for his runner-up finish. Katz currently sits in the seventh position on the PGT leaderboard.

Event #2 No-Limit Hold’em

The second event of the series was shipped by Imsirovic who emerged from a player field of 36 entries. He defeated Jake Daniels in the final table heads-up and went home with $129,600 in winnings. Daniels took home $86,400 as the runner-up. Imsirovic was also named PokerGO Tour Player of the Year, GPI Player of the Year, and won the Players Choice for Toughest Opponent at the 2021 Global Poker Awards. He currently rules the number three spot on the leaderboard.

Event #3 No-Limit Hold’em

Ivan Zufic took the Event #3 after defeating a field of 33 entrants and his final table opponent, Alex Foxen. The Croatian player earned $198,000 for his victory and is currently second on Croatia’s all-time money list. As the runner-up, Foxen took home $128,700 in winnings. This win also gave Zufic his first cash of the 2022 PokerGo Tour. He is currently 20th on the PGT leaderboard.
