APT Online: ‘EL BEANjo’ takes down Main Event!


The biggest and the richest 2nd edition of Asian Poker Tour (APT) Online Series ultimately crowned its Main Event champion last night. After 5 days of grinding it was ‘EL BEANjo’ taking down the prestigious event on Natural8. Other side events also ran alongside with ‘brynkenneyAA’ shipping the second largest score of the day and ‘Theprofessor44’ taking home the third largest payout.

APT Main Event $1 million GTD

Running between 18 – 21 June the 1 million GTD APT Main Event clocked in 1,985 entries across a total of 16 starting flights for $500 buy-in, and 463 survivors took their seats on the final day. When the competition had 70 players battling, ‘EL BEANjo’ was already among the top 10. Putting pressure on his opponents, he eliminating ‘ARMAND De’ (11th) and ‘stonej’ (10th) to deny both players a seat to the FT.

One after another, players quickly grabbed their share from the prize pool and the competition came down to the final 5 players. It was ‘Alors Peut-Etre’ and ‘Transurfing’ exiting in 5th and 4th place. After several hands, the final 3 struck a deal and played for the trophy and the ring. It was ‘EL BEANjo’ whose largest stack led him to capture $144,352 in top prize! ‘M.Tsigalko’ settled in 2nd position for $106,238 and ‘kidpoker82’ in 3rd place for $90,158.

Super High Roller $300K GTD

With a buy-in of $5,000 a total of 108 hopefuls took their seats on Natural8 hosting Super High Roller 300K GTD. This led to the creation of $513K in prize pool which was well received by the top 15 finishers. After 7 hours of play, ‘brynkenneyAA’ who denied the final table players including ‘Beishadezhu2’ at heads up to seize the $116,904 first prize. The champion also finished 7th in Monster Stack for $5.9K in winnings.

Event 80: Monster Stack $250K GTD

The 3-day Monster Stack pulled out 1,079 entries across 10 starting flights out of which only 364 players took their seat on the final day. Ultimately, joining the multi winners’ club was ‘Theprofessor44’ who clinched to the title once again after already taking down Event 27 High Roller. The competition concluded after a head-up deal with ‘HangulMalMoteyo’ settling in 2nd position. ‘Theprofessor44’ shipped the event for $34,964 while his opponent took home $36,309, a slightly larger share from the prize pool.

Also, check out the current leaderboard of the APT Player of the Series. The top three players at the end will win an APT POS Ring and prize money between $500 to $1,500. And the one to top the list will receive an APT Finale Championship Event ticket while the second player will be rewarded with an APT Finale ME ticket.
