APT Hanoi 2023: Shardul Parthasarathi Wins Single Day High Roller

Indian contingent has added one more title to its tally at the ongoing Asian Poker Tour (APT) Hanoi 2023. Poker pro Shardul Parthasarathi took down Event #27: Single Day High Roller – 8 Max at the VSOP Club Hanoi, to grab his second APT title and pocketed VND 875,615,000 (₹30,63,425). 

The APT 2022 Vietnam Main Event winner struck a deal with Vietnam’s Pham Duy Anh, as they both spilt the pot and cashed equal sums. However, Parthasarathi walked away with the title and the APT trophy. The event had a buy-in of VND 66,000,000 (₹2,30,968), and generated a prize pool of VND 3,492,000,000 (₹1,22,20,343), after a total of 60 entries registered for the event. The top nine places shared the prize pool and walked away with a min-cash of VND 104,760,000 (₹3,66,610)

Prior to Parthasarathi, India’s female pro Nikita Luther shipped the Super Holdem event at the ongoing series for a pay cheque of VND 85.37M (₹2,99,558). Apart from Parthasarathi, Indian pros Ashish Munot and Praveen Dwarkanath were also grinding at the event, however, they did not make it in the money.
