Ramesh Rao Thotapalli aka RRT exited in the 12th position for VND 37,310,000 (~1,580). Tuan Nguyen opened with 135,000. It was RRT’s turn to act but another Russian player Stanislav Kuvaev folded his cards and received a one-hand penalty. Thotapalli, shoved all-in for approx. 450,000.
While Nguyen was thinking about his next move, it wasn’t long before the Vietnamese player made the call. Thotapalli had Q ❤ Q♣ and Nguyen played with A ❤ 8♠. The dealer revealed a board of A ♦ 3♠ 5♣ 4 ♦ 5♠ which led to RRT exiting in the 12th place for VND 37,310,000 (~1,580).
One of Indian poker circuit’s well-known names, Ramesh Rao Thotapalli has grabbed the biggest bounty in the Mystery Bounty Hunter event. There are 16 players left in the tournament and RRT as we fondly know him is in contention for the top spot. Thotapalli, who is Cards52.com’s CEO, was battling it out among 448 players.
This event offered the biggest bounty of VND 300,000,000 (approx. ₹10,39,719). He won two bounties so far and has won over ₹10.50 Lakh in just bounties. In all there are 10 mystery bounties which can be won. The min-cash at the Mystery Bounty Hunter tournament is VND 43,000,000.
The prize pool at this event stands at VND 302,144,000. The winner will take home VND 551,154,000. RRT was among the top 10 stacks from flight A. He is the only Indian in the running for the top spot and we hope to see this player cum entrepreneur nail the Mystery Bounty Hunter title.
Indian players like Vivek Singh, Ashish Munot, Meherzad Munsaf, Chirag Sodha and Amit Kaushik will be seen hunting titles and glory. Singh managed to make the final table in the APT Da Nang July 2023 Kickoff event but couldn’t ship the tournament. He finished 7th for VND 92,940,000 ($3,940).
