Anurag Srivastava wins The Roar on Adda52

Yesterday marked the start of a new week and for online poker players, it was a chance to begin the week with wins across the major poker platforms in India. One of these major platforms is Adda52 and they host The Roar INR 7 lakh GTD tournament every Monday night at 8pm.

The tournament has a buy-in of INR 4,400 and top players from around the country take part in it every Monday night. Yesterday, a total of 180 entries (101 players + 79 re-entries) registered to the tournament, slightly beating the guarantee and creating a new prize pool of INR 7.2 lakh.

Players all began with a starting stack of 10,000 chips and at the end of the night, it was Anurag Srivastava who beat everyone else to get his hands on the top prize of INR 2,16,000. The player has been having a good run in online poker across all the main poker websites and he has added another title to his name on Adda52, where he plays under the name ’13anurag’.

Ultimately, only the top 12 players were paid out in this tournament, with a minimum prize of INR 12,600, and Srivastava was the biggest winner. He beat ‘sumit4game’ in heads-up, who took away the runner-up prize of INR 1,36,800. Another known player on the final table was ‘DoJingBULLETS’ who is none other than Nishant Sharma, who recently completed India’s best-ever run in a WSOP Main Event, where he finished 34th for $230,475.

Gutshot caught up with Srivastava after he took down this major tournament. He said, “It always feels good to start the week with a win.” This player has also been winning titles and leaderboard competitions on The Spartan Poker, where he plays under the name ‘InvestmentBanker’.
