Ankit Ahuja Ships GUKPT Edinburgh 2024 High Roller

It was time to rejoice as poker pro Ankit Ahuja shipped the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) 2024 Edinburgh High Roller for a sum of £25,200. The £1,500 buy-in had a prize pool of £72,000. The final table saw Ahuja beat Jamie Nixon in heads-up. The runner-up added a sum of £17,280 to his bankroll.

This High Roller event had a field of 50 entrants which boiled down to final 6. The first one to exit the final table was George Demetriou for £4,320. Next in line to bid adieu to the game was Ciprian Berdan (£5,760). Keith Littlewood claimed fourth place for £7,920. The second runner-up was Thomas Clack. He had a payday of £11,520. Only the top 6 got paid in this tournament.

Final Hand of GUKPT 2024 Edinburgh High Roller

In the last hand of the High Roller game, Ahuja played with QT against Nixon’s K5. The second place finisher threw in his remaining 9 big blinds in the middle but only managed to hit the top pair. Ahuja rivered a straight and claimed the title spot.

GUKPT Edinburgh 2024 High Roller

With this victory, Ahuja now has over $2.65 Million in live tournament earnings. This England resident is closing in on the gap with Nipun Java who has close to $3 Million in live tournament earnings. Currently, Ahuja is fourth on India’s All Time Money List behind Java.

When it comes to live poker, Ahuja was last seen grinding at the Irish Poker Open 2024. He finished 90th in the Main Event for €5,460. Ahuja took the 14th spot for a sum of €8,700 in the High Roller event of the series.
