No, we aren’t here to report the end of another international poker tournament. We’re here to report a championship victory in the middle of an ongoing series. The 2018 Poker Masters is taking place at we’ve reached the end of Day 2 of the prestigious Main Event, after only 15 entries registered on Day 1.
Ali Imsirovic won two straight titles in the series and that led to him taking an unassailable lead in the race to the Purple Jacket. Imsirovic busted his stack during Day 2 of the Main Event, but with only 4 players left and all guaranteed a minimum cash prize, the calculations have been made and no one can overtake Imsirovic, which means he has won the 2018 Poker Masters Purple Jacket.
Only the top 4 will be paid out in the Main Event and these four are David Peters, Dan Smith, Koray Aldemir and Bryn Kenney, who will hit the tables tomorrow to play it out until a winner is crowned. Peters is in the chip lead and a win for him will send him to second place. A win for Aldemir will also take him to second while a win for Smith or Kenney can take them to 4th at best.
Now that the American player Imsirovic has already won the Purple Jacket, these four players will only be playing for the prize money tomorrow, with a massive top prize of $1,150,000 waiting to be won. Kenney is very shortly stacked and is likely to bust out in 4th for the prize of a quarter million dollars.
