Alex Foxen Wins 2018 LAPC $25,000 High Roller

American poker player Alex Foxen has just recorded the second largest live winnings of his poker career so far, by winning the 2018 L.A. Poker Classic Rockstar Energy $25,000 High Roller. The event was part of the WPT LA Poker Classic, one of the stops of Season XVI of the WPT Main Tour, played at The Commerce Hotel & Casino.

The series began on 24th February and while the final day of the Main Event is currently taking place, we have the result of the $25,000 buy-in high roller. Alex Foxen is said to be one of the rising stars in US poker and he recorded a win of $424,625 for first place, after he powered through a field of 50 entries.

His best live cash is $1,134,202 that he picked up for a 2nd place finish at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, about 3 months ago. He has now taken his total live earnings to over $2.6 million. Coming back to this high roller tournament, Foxen beat big names like Nick Petrangelo, Isaac Baron and Eli Berg on the final table.

He had a remarkable run, eliminating all but one of his opponents on the final table, including the experienced Nick Petrangelo in heads up, who has over $10 million in live poker earnings. Petrangelo came into heads up down 1:7 in chip stacks and it wasn’t long before Foxen claimed the title, with his two-pairs beating Petrangelo’s 4-pair.

The final table just took a couple of hours and this stylish 26-year old player could certainly be one to watch out for in the future. Final results:
