Yesterday was the third day of play at the Spartan Super Series (SSS) on The Spartan Poker. A total of five events were scheduled for the day and the first was none other than the Electra tournament, one with a buy-in of INR 800 and a guaranteed prize pool of INR 2.5 lakh.
SSS Event #11 Electra INR 2.5 Lakh GTD kicked off in the afternoon and the guarantee was passed thanks to the 396 entries that registered to the tournament, increasing the prize pool to INR 2,89,080. This was then shared among the top 27 finishers, taking away a minimum of INR 2,602 each.
Eventually, the player to come out on top of the field was Akshay Capoor aka ‘TheShowdown’, who took home a pay-check of INR 63,598. He beat another good player Suraj Rathi aka ‘Bugsbunny08’ in heads-up, who settled for INR 43,073 for finishing second. While Capoor is a relatively new winner, Rathi recently took down the Big Daddy tournament on Spartan.
