Aditya Sushant ships PokerBaazi’s Summit

PokerBaazi hosted their Thursday’s feature tournament The Summit 15 Lakhs GTD yesterday. The tournament drew a total of 230 entries (104 re-entries) for the buy-in of INR 8,250. The guarantee was crushed and a fresh prize pool of INR 17,25,000 was created. The crowned champion at this tournament yesterday was none other than Aditya Sushant playing under his PokerBaazi pseudonym of ‘gangajal’. He took home INR 4,83,000 for his finish.

Sushant is in Vietnam right now and has signed up for a couple of events in the APT Vietnam Kickoff and ended 11th in chip lead in Day 1A Main Event. Playing from there, he shipped the PokerBaazi Summit yesterday that ended at 3.32 am in the morning, which would’ve been 5.02 am for Sushant in Vietnam. This just goes to show the amount of dedication and love for poker he has harboured in his heart over the years.

Sushant beat ‘sandyback’ in heads-up to bag the title and the cash prize. The runner-up took home INR 3,14,812 as 2nd place cash prize. The winner, Sushant, needs absolutely no introduction but for the sake of new entrants into this scene, Sushant is the first Indian to win a WSOP gold bracelet, which he achieved back in 2017.

He has plenty of live cashes in his career, ranging from live events in Macau and Manila in the east to Las Vegas in the west. His online record is also staggering and includes plenty of big wins from almost all major Indian platforms. His most recent win was when he shipped the 5 For 5 on Spartan for INR 5 Lakhs last month.

Out of the top 15 places paid, there were a few knowns to rank too. Finishing 4th was another reg Abhinav Iyer aka ‘griezmann’ for INR 1,50,937. Rubin Labroo finished 6th for INR 86,250. Neeraj Kumar aka ‘SelfClaimedPro’ (7th – INR 69,000), Arsh Grover aka ‘Button_Hai_Bro’ (9th – INR 43,125) and Sajal Gupta aka ‘Bloodless’ (15th – INR 32,775) were also among the regs to cash out yesterday on PokerBaazi.
