There have been a few Indian players that have finished ‘in the money’ a few times at the 2018 World Series of Poker and these two poker players are among them. Known as one of India’s best poker pros, Aditya Agarwal has three cashes so far in WSOP 2018, with combined winnings of around $13k.
Paawan Bansal is also one of India’s rising poker pros, and he has cashed out twice in WSOP 2018, with winnings over $40,000. Both these players have now reached Day 2 of Event #43: $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em, with Agarwal holding one of the top chip stacks as well.
The tournament saw a total of 1,071 entries on Day 1, and our Indian pros are among the top 297 survivors who have progressed to Day 2 of the tournament. They will come out tomorrow to compete further and keep India’s hopes of bringing back a WSOP gold bracelet alive.
Quite a few previous bracelet winners are among the mix, with USA’s Ashwin Sarin currently holding the chip lead – 166,200 chips. Agarwal is not too far behind with 119,700 chips, while Bansal had 72,500 chips when the players bagged up to return for Day 2. The top 188 players are to be paid out and these two will finish in the money again, if they survive Day 2.
