Canada’s premier poker destination, the Playground Poker Club (PPC), Montreal has just announced that it will be hosting the third edition of World Cup of Cards (WCC) in January 2019. The series will run between the dates of Jan. 20 and Feb. 6, 2019, with more than CAD 2 Million (~INR 10.91 Crores) in total GTD up for grabs.
The 18-day series will feature a host of low buy-in events ranging from as low as CAD 110 all the way up-to CAD 1,650 along-with a host of exciting games and formats on offer. As described on PPC’s website, the WCC will be a great opportunity for players of all bankroll levels to shoot for a title and a trophy. It also included multi-day events for players looking for some mid-stakes tournament action.
The 18 days will be punctuated by 3 marquee events with huge guarantees:

The first day begins with the CAD 220 Grand Prix Canada event having a CAD 500,000 GTD. This event features five online starting flights and twelve live starting flights from Jan. 23-27, and the champion will be crowned on Jan. 28.
The CAD 1,650 WPTDeepStacks event will commence on Feb. 1 with first of three starting flights and the final winner to be decided on Feb. 5.
The Main Event of the series, the CAD 1,100 CPPT gets going with first of the two startling flights on Feb. 4, with the winner to be decided two days later on Feb. 6. Last year’s WCC CPPT Main Event was a CAD 1,650 NLHE with 191 entries. Luc Bellerive from Quebec bagged the title with CAD 98,000 (~INR 53.5 lakhs) top prize.
