11th iGaming Asia Congress kicks off in Macau today

iGaming Asia Congress (iGA) is one of the leading gaming related conference hosted every year in Asia. The Congress always attracts Asia’s leading sports betting, online casino, lottery, social and mobile gaming executives to learn about the latest developments in the industry, incoming regulations and to stay ahead of the curve in Asia.

After hosting the 10th edition of this conference last year, the organizers have returned to host the 11th edition at Studio City in Macau between 12-14 March 2019. The 3-day conference will be graced by plenty of renowned industry persons and experts. There will be over 150 C-level executives attending the Launchpad session.

Topics like Esports, cybercrime, sports betting, responsible gambling, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, etc. will be tackled in the conference. Also making a comeback after its inaugural run last year will be iGA Innovation Start-Up Launchpad. The event is a competition among regional start-ups.

This year, the finalists of this competition have been narrowed down to three, SiniticWarbler Gaming and Luckbox, who each will give a comprehensive presentation describing their respective projects. The shortlisted finalists will have their flight and accommodation expense paid for by the conference organisers. There will be a panel of judges who are all industry experts.

The winner of this competition will get a table top exhibitor booth and one delegate pass worth $9.8k to be used at one of the upcoming gaming conferences in Asia: Gaming, Racing & Wagering Australia (GRWA), Asia Gaming Summit (AGS) 2019 or iGaming Asia Congress (iGA) 2020.

Some of the speakers for the event include Nelson Cheung, VP of Innovation at Galaxy Macau, Andrew Scott, CEO of Inside Asian Gaming, Anuksh Gera, CEO of Junglee Games, Mina Hazar of YMCA Greater Toronto, Ayako Nakayama of Japan IR Association, Partha Madishetty, Director of Grid Logic Games, Susan O’Leary of Alderney eGambling, and others.

On 14th March, the third day, the conference includes two sessions. The first session is titled ‘The Domino Effect – Next Steps and Opportunities in India’ and will discuss expansion opportunities in India in the first half. The second will be about unlocking new market opportunities in the region. Some of these issues were tackled at the recent 2019 SPiCE Goa too and will receive further extra attention at iGA.
