Yinan Zhou, the 24-year-old Chinese poker player, has created history. He has shipped the first-ever World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise Super Main Event. With this, he not only takes the biggest share of the prize pool – a staggering $6,000,000 and the coveted WSOP bracelet but also grabs poker headlines for a long time. This is also his first WSOP bracelet, sweetening the win for him.
Zhou fought hard, and the $50 Million prize pool enticed more than 1,900 poker players to the felts. The event continued on Day 5 before the brand-new winner was crowned. Zhou beat Michael Addamo, a formidable player himself, with his A ♣ 6 ♣. At a media interaction, Zhou revealed that he was nervous when the Final Table began but calmed down by the time the numbers whittled to six.
The win is not one of the biggest, but the biggest success for Zhou, who first saw money in his live poker career only in 2021 at the CPG Sanya Championship, when he ranked 98th and took $4,693. Zhou has figured in WSOP player lists earlier, with him seeing money in 2022 and 2023 at multiple events. Gutshot Magazine heartily congratulates Yinan Zhou on his incredible win at the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event. The young poker player has joined the rare ranks of young, lesser-known poker players and is winning massive Main Events with this one.
