WSOP’s New Home Bally’s To Be Rebranded As Horseshoe Casino

After years of calling the Rio All-Suite Casino and Hotel home, the organizers of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced that the series will be hosted at Bally’s and Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The upcoming WSOP event is all set to take place at Bally’s and Paris. 

As per news reports, Bally’s will undergo renovations as well as a complete rebranding before the poker series kick-starts. The Las Vegas strip resort will be rebranded as Horseshoe—a national brand of casinos. This name is quite popular when it comes to WSOP historians and Vegas lovers.

Well-known gaming company Bally Manufacturing which was a major manufacturer of slot machines purchased the MGM Grand in 1986. They renamed the property as Bally’s and MGM Grand re-opened later at a new location located at the south end of the Vegas strip.

In 2005, Caesars Entertainment (previously Harrah’s Entertainment) purchased Bally’s and a property next-door called ‘Paris.’ That’s how the name came to be as Bally’s and Paris.

Caesars Entertainment owns the Horseshoe brand while actively operating eight Horseshoe casinos around the country. After the rebranding of Bally’s and Paris, Caesar’s will have nine Horseshoe casinos under its name.

Caesars released a statement regarding the rebranding, which said that the renovated property will include a “renovated exterior, new entertainment, food and beverage options, and a reimagined casino floor and public areas.” The renovated casino would reportedly also be in line with Horseshoe brand’s signature sophisticated look.
