The debate on online poker tournaments being rigged seems to be going on for a while now, and it looks like it’s not ending anytime soon. But imagine a brand like World Series of Poker (WSOP) being accused of hosting tournaments which are allegedly rigged. Yes! What you just read is all over Twitter. There’s a group of people who are claiming that tournaments on WSOP.com are rigged.
Mike Holtz aka ‘BrockLesnar’, recently posted a video on his Twitter of a hand he recently played on the WSOP.com site. “This is why people think WSOP is rigged,” he wrote. In the video, Holtz is seen having T9s.

A player named ‘Angelfire’ calls the $720 raise made by Holtz preflop from the big blind. Another player, ‘sand_deep’ also called. The flop revealed 8d Jh 6c. ‘Angelfire’ bet $1,480, and was called by ‘sand_deep.’ Here, Holtz raised to $7,030 with a straight draw. To this, ‘Angelfire’ folds, and ‘sand_deep’ makes the call.
The river shows 8h and both the players checked. The river showed Ah. On seeing the river, ‘sand_deep’ shoved his stack of $7,500. Holtz called and the former flipped 5d 4d.
It is very unlikely for a player to go all-in on a board like that with 5d 4d hole cards. All they were playing was a mid-order card like 5. Holtz expressed his views openly on his Twitter handle that this hand proves that WSOP Online tourney was rigged.
Several players voiced their views on Holtz’ post and the hand that played out. Some players expressed their astonishment over how the hand played out.

A bunch of players even compared the incident as the online version of the Robbi Lew-Garrett Adelstein cheating scandal that happened at the Hustler Casino Live.
Almost as good as Robbi's call
