WSOP commentator Norman Chad tests COVID-19 positive

The famous American columnist and World Series of Poker (WSOP) commentator Norman Chad has yet again made headlines. You may wonder why ? Norman, tested positive for coronavirus on Monday. His writings have always reflected humor, nonetheless Norman chose to convey the message about the presence of the virus in a funny manner too.

Norman took to Twitter and posted a video with his pet dog named Blue and made the announcement. What could have been a basic tweet about the diagnosis, was actually a video and a conversation of himself and his dog. “Blue is blaming me. She doesn’t feel well. And you know, I’ve got COVID. And she thinks I gave her COVID. I don’t think she has COVID. I think Blue gave me COVID,” mentioned Chad in the video. He also explained that his main symptoms were severe headache and cough, as well as fatigue and he also updated that he will be quarantining for two weeks.

The next day, he followed up with another long video, saying that he has headache, describing it as a “Mack truck backing up behind my eyes.” The “occasional” cough and “extreme fatigue” are still there, as well. Of course, mentioning it in his style, he kept things light-hearted, explaining that when Blue chews his left arm, she doesn’t taste anything. Chad has always been vocal about his abilities, one of the instances being how he jokes about his poor poker playing ability.

David ‘Doc’ Sands was the first high-profile poker player to have been tested positive for Coronavirus back in March itself. Several others, including two-time WSOP bracelet winner and World Poker Tour champion Andy Frankenberger, have tested positive too. It has been a very difficult time for people around the globe due to the pandemic and the virus has not spared the Poker industry either.
