Adda52 to contribute in COVID-19 Helpcare fund


With each passing day, the Coronavirus pandemic is growing more devastating. There are presently 785k positive cases with 37k deaths being reported. The government of each nation is taking necessary steps to curb the deadly virus from spreading by locking down their country. India too has reported more than 1200 cases so far.

Just like other parts of the world, India also moved into a state of lockdown on 24 March. With stores, transports being shut down and people asked to stay indoors for 21 days, online poker has become a great source of entertainment for many.

The online poker activity in India has seen a massive rise due to COVID-19. This spike in traffic has led to many platforms taking steps and contributing to coronavirus relief fund. One of the leading names in online poker, Adda52, recently witnessed a 12% growth in daily active users and average time spent per user has also grown to 18%. About 10% of new users have been registered on Adda52.com ever since the shutdown.

During this tough times, the underprivileged sections of society are unable to acquire the basic necessities and have been hit hard by the pandemic. And Adda52 decided to donate the amount collected from its special tournament to the COVID-19 Helpcare in the PM Relief Fund.

The site announced a new tournament called Falcon which started from 27 March to continue till 1 April at 4 pm daily. Geared up for social cause, the tournament features a buy-in of INR 2,700 and assures INR 5 Lakhs in prize pool each day. The rakes coming within 5 days will go to the COVID-19 Helpcare. And the best part is that it is open to all regs, pros and newcomers.
