Indian poker sensation Santhosh Suvarna was battling it out in the $50K High Roller PLO. The pro managed to fight stiff competition and reach the final five. Suvarna had the shortest stack of 4,850,000 chips when the game was five handed. When the game resumed on Day 3, Suvarna was the first casualty. German player Daniel Perkusic eliminated the Indian pro in the 5th spot for a sum of over $5 Million.
In the second hand of the day, Suvarna raised the pot to 1,050,000 and Perkusic called from the big blind position. The flop presented J♥8♣5♥, and Perkusic called Suvarna’s shove.
Perkusic’s Snowmen held after the 2♣ on turn and 3♦ on the river did not help Suvarna in any way. The Indian left at the 5th position for $503,085.

Perkusic, who had no previous WSOP gold bracelets, made his mark by cashing in his first-ever live WSOP event. He skillfully navigated the final table and delivered a masterful heads-up performance, earning the largest cash prize of his career and tripling his total live recorded earnings.
The day commenced with five players returning to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Dutch PLO expert Ronald Keijzer and Tang clashed in a massive pot exceeding 20,000,000 chips. Keijzer’s bluff on a paired board was called by Tang, who held the second nuts. Tang, initially holding over half the chips, appeared to be in control. However, Perkusic closed the gap by winning key pots, eventually overtaking the lead. He cemented his position by eliminating two-time bracelet winner Jim Collopy in third place, setting up the final showdown with Tang.
In the heads-up match, Tang briefly regained the lead, hinting at a possible comeback. Yet, Perkusic dominated the subsequent hands, steadily building his stack with the support of his friends. Tang managed two doubles with minimal chips, but on the final hand, Perkusic’s full house defeated Tang’s flopped set, securing Perkusic’s maiden bracelet.
