Nick Schulman added yet another feather in his cap when he scooped his fifth World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet in Event #26: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em (8-Handed). This was Schulan’s biggest WSOP cash with $1,667,842 in his bank. For Schulman, the victory was a testament to his versatility and competitiveness in a non-mixed games format at high stakes.
“I felt incredible,” Schulman recalled, reflecting on the moment. “It’s a feeling that’s hard to describe, but it’s like a mix of relief and elation all at once. You know, everyone who’s played poker tournaments has a lot of residual trauma from all the close calls and tough beats. And holding that hand was amazing. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.”
The hand in question was a massive flip that gave Schulman a commanding lead at the final table. From there, he went on to eliminate five of his seven opponents, leaving Rodriguez with just two big blinds. Yet, despite being in a precarious position, Rodriguez managed to ladder to a runner-up finish worth $1,111,897.

“It’s pretty rare to find yourself in a situation like that,” Schulman acknowledged. “But I was fortunate enough to have the kind of golden lane where my opponents couldn’t really do anything. Even if they knew I was messing around, they still couldn’t do anything. And that’s the best place to be at a final table.”
