WSOP 2023 Money List: Who Ranks First?


The 2023 WSOP kick-started at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas on 31st May 2023. Since then, the 54th edition of the biggest poker event in the world has captured a lot of eyeballs of poker enthusiasts across the globe. With players winning a lot of money and bracelets, let’s have a look at the WSOP 2023 Money List.

WSOP 2023 Money List

Christopher Brewer

The USA-based poker pro has had one of the most successful WSOP 2023 as he won the Event #40: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em. It saw him pocket $5,293,556, which is his best live cash to date. makes up for the majority of his earnings. Apart from that, he also earned $102,479 in Event #23: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em for finishing in the 12th position. His third-place finish in the Event #8: $25,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold ’em Championship earned him $192,513 as well.

He also finished 21st in Event #2: $25,000 High Roller Six Handed No-Limit Hold’em to pocket $50,000 while his 45th rank in Event #35: $10,000 Secret Bounty No-Limit Hold’em earned him $15,340. He also claimed the 16th place in Event #60: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw to win $6,108 at the tourney. At the time of writing, Christopher Brewer earned $ 5,668,746 at WSOP 2023.

Artur Martirosian

Despite not winning any bracelet this year so far, the Russian has amongst the highest cash in WSOP 2023, with his total winnings of the year sitting at $3,285,238. One of his biggest wins in the tourney was in the $250,000 No Limit Hold’em – Super High Roller – Shot Clock (Bracelet Event 40), where he finished second to pocket $3,271,666. Apart from that, he also earned $13,572 for a 50th rank finish in $7,000 + 3,000 No Limit Hold’em – Secret Bounty.

Jans Arends

The Dutch international finds himself ranked third on the list, with the Netherlands-based poker pro pocketing the majority of his earnings this year after he shipped the $100,000 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller – 8-Handed (Bracelet Event 29) in WSOP 2023. He claimed the bracelet alongside a hefty pay cheque of $ 2,576,729.

Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth has taken quite a few steps in the right direction amid the ongoing WSOP 2023, with the players making quite a few FT and pocketing hefty pay cheques this time around. One of his best performances at the 54th Annual World Series of Poker came in Event #40: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em. Kornuth finished 5th in the event and pocketed $1,202,318. 

He also fared well at Event #57: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha by coming in ninth place and walking away with $161,585. His 4th place finish in Event #29: $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em fetched $833,854, while the 4th rank in Online Event #8: $3,200 No-Limit Hold ’em High Roller earned the poker pro $108,443. Kornuth’s WSOP 2023 earnings sit at $2,951,775 so far.

Ka Kwan Lau

The Hong Kong international propelled himself into the top 10 after a stunning victory in Event #57: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha. The first place finish earned him a massive sum of $2,294,756 alongside his first WSOP bracelet. He also fared well at the Event #50: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, narrowly missing out on the final table but pocketed $75,352 for his 11th rank. At the time of writing, Lau’s WSOP 2023 winnings sit at $ 2,370,108

Martin Kabrhel 

The Czech Republic international did quite well for himself at the 54th edition of the WSOP! This player who has been accused of cheating by Andrew Robl and many other players from the circuit, finished third place. Event #40: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em Kabrhel won $2,279,038.

He also managed to do well at #Event 62 $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot Limit Omaha – 8-Handed and pocketed $13,936 for a 24th rank finish. Despite featuring in a limited number of events, the 2-time WSOP bracelet winner has walked away with $ 2,292,974 in winnings so far.

Cary Katz

 This Atlanta-born US-based poker pro featured in multiple WSOP 2023 events this year. Despite pocketing $1,834,720 so far, Katz has fared quite well in the tournament, with multiple finishes in the top 20.

His best performance came in Event #29: $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, where he finished as the runner-up and pocketed $1,592,539. He also fetched $82,754 for his16th rank finish at Event #57: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha while earning $102,479 for ending in 13th place at Event #23: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em. Currently, Katz finds himself ranked sixth on the list and will be eager to better it in the remaining events.

Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton shipped his first bracelet at WSOP 2023 when he managed to emerge victorious Event #16: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em 8-Handed. He earned $1,698,215 alongside the title at the $25,000 buy-in event.

Often nicknamed the ‘The Lizard King,’ the American poker pro also recorded an 11th-place finish at Event #57: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha in WSOP 2023 to win $126,938. Haxton’s WSOP money tally sits at $1,825,153. He will surely be aiming to breach the $2 Million mark and have a better outing at the other upcoming events.

Alex Kulev

The Hungary-based poker pro shined at his latest outing in WSOP. Playing in the 54th World Series of Poker, he managed to find himself on the final table at Event #40: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em. Kulev was busted out in the fourth position in the $250,000 buy-in event and ended up pocketing $1,632,005.

Apart from that, the Hungarian has nothing prominent to show for the year as he claimed the 153rd at Event #44: $3,000 No-Limit Holdem to pocket $6,003 while busting out at 573rd position at Event #53: $1,500 MILLIONAIRE MAKER No-Limit Hold ’em.

Brian Rast

Standing tall amongst the WSOP veterans, Brian Rast has been a regular at this tournament over the years. He continued to work his charm at WSOP 2023 and shined at the tourney. Rast shipped Event #43: $50,000 Poker Players Championship to pocket $1,324,747 while also managing to record a 7th place finish in Event #55: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better and earning $18,709 at the $1,500 buy-in event.

He had managed to get ITM during Event #16: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em 8-Handed by finishing 7th and earning $202,532. A 69th rank finish in Event #35: $10,000 Secret Bounty No-Limit Hold’em saw him get a pay cheque worth $11,876 at WSOP 2023. Rast’s WSOP 2023 earning sits at $1,557,864 so far.

Leon Sturm

The German pro Leon Sturm started off the tourney with a bang by winning Event #23: $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold ’em. Sturm added a massive sum of $1,546,024 to his kitty alongside his first WSOP bracelet. He also claimed $4,800 during his 177th finish at Event #32: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold ’em at WSOP 2023. Sturm’s WSOP 2023 earnings sit at $1,550,824, with the Vienna resident boasting of $2,288,231 in total earnings.

The 22-year-old is considered to be the next Fedor Holz and a lot is expected of him in the future. It remains interesting to see how the young poker pro fares in the upcoming WSOP events.
