WSOP 2023 Main Event: Anirban Das In Top 20 Stacks At The End Of Day 6

India’s run at the 54th edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2023 Main Event (ME) has been an impressive one. Pros like Nikita Luther and Anirban Das have caught the attention of poker media with their spectacular game play at the ME. India’s only female pro to have won a WSOP bracelet, Luther exited the WSOP 2023 ME at the 96th spot for $78,900. Das on the other hand has qualified for Day 7 which is brilliant.

India’s only hope at WSOP 2023 Main Event

Anirban Das is an online and live reg born in Mumbai. He has an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and now resides in Gurgaon. The pro landed a job at Zynga after which he got into poker. Grinding on Zynga to now making Day 7 on poker’s biggest tournament series globally, Das has come a long way. His poker moves have impressed those keeping a tab, which also includes the international poker players and poker media.

Anirban Das’ incredible bluff at WSOP 2023 ME

Das is a poker dynamo who doesn’t shy away from making bold moves and bluffs. One example of an eyebrow-raising bluff was shared by PokerNews on their YouTube channel.

The video shows how Das played 82o in a hand which he totally nailed like a boss. Daniel Scroggins on the button opened the action with 350,000 and Das 3-bet with 925,000 from the small blind position. From the big blind Liran Betitio 4-bet to 2,250,000.

Scroggins folded, but Das, who was out of position, made the call. Ac 9h 5d. Das checked but his rival bet and Das responded with a check-raise. This made Betito fold his hand, and Das won the pot like a boss with just 8d 2c.

All this was happening and Das was cool and calm, giving out killer vibes to those who might lock horns with him in the coveted event.

At the end of Day 6, Das was 18th highest in chip counts with 13,375,000 in his kitty to fight for the prestigious top spot and WSOP ME bracelet.
