WSOP 2022 ME: Goindi and Bansal Look Optimistic While Hellmuth Turns Darth Vader

Nervousness and jitters are real things and we are experiencing both right about now. Why suddenly? No! It is not happening out of the blue. Poker pros Abhishek Goindi and Paawan Bansal have reached Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas to grind in Day 2abc of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event (ME). Aren’t you excited? Of course you are and so are we. While on his way to the venue, Goindi shared a post on his Instagram stories which literally made the excitement about the ME shoot through the roof.

In the video, Goindi talks about heading to the WSOP 2022 ME Day 2abc along with Bansal. The poker coach said that he had 28K in chips while Bansal had a bigger stack (44,600 chips). Talking about the tables, Goindi said he has some heavy-weights from the international poker circuit on his table.

The Poker Bootcamp India co-founder revealed that he will be rubbing shoulders with Jake Schindler, Justin Bonomo and Anton Wigg; Bansal is looking out for Dylan Linde but isn’t too worried since he isn’t alien to Linde’s play.

Goindi who is also a prolific commentator said, “When the going gets tough, the tough get goin(di).” And we agree! The fight is surely going to be very tough for our Indian pros who have rolled up their sleeves to battle it out with some of the best talent in the poker universe.

Goindi also shared a video of players heading towards the poker tables which reminded him of the 10th standard board exams. While the nostalgia brings back some of the past memories, the massive crowd only means there’s cut throat competition all over the place. With 28,200 chips in hands, Goindi will have to seriously turn the tables in his favour to move ahead.

Phil Hellmuth’s Twitter post from WSOP 2022 ME

In other news, we have Phil Hellmuth dressed up as Darth Vader. Oh yeah, this 16-time WSOP bracelet winner does it again. Hellmuth made heads turns and sent the rest in a tizzy as he entered the venue dressed as the Star Wars antagonist. This poker dynamo is surely keeping up with his WSOP ME tradition by showing up in some of the most exquisite costumes ever made. Who’s complaining? Not us!
