WPT Global Announces Fall Festival $8.5M, Mystery Bounty & Cash Game Updates!

After a successful Summer Festival that concluded this August, WPT Global is back with its Fall Festival, however the series has been postponed and the new dates are yet to be announced. This exciting series had earlier  announced a massive $8.5 Million guaranteed, surpassing Summer Festival’s $8 Million.

WPT Global Fall Festival Highlights

• Mystery Bounty Tournaments: A major feature of the Fall Festival, these tournaments offer a total of $3 Million. Players can join daily $110 buy-ins with a $40K guarantee.
• Slam Events: Popular events like the $55 Lucky $30K and $110 Nightly $27.5K Slams have been transitioned to the Mystery Bounty format, adding more excitement.
• Flagship Events: The festival will feature the $3,500 WPT Championship with a $1 Million guarantee, the $1,060 WPT Prime with a $750K guarantee, and the $530 WPT500 with a $400K guarantee.
• Promotional Offerings: A $50K freeroll will be available to Fall Festival players, providing additional value and big-win opportunities.

WPT Global Mystery Bounty Tournaments

Adding to the excitement, WPT Global has introduced the highly popular Mystery Bounty tournament format. This new feature offers a thrilling twist on traditional bounty tournaments, where the exact bounty amount remains a mystery until a player is eliminated.

How Mystery Bounty Works:

• Initial Phase: Players concentrate on building their chip stacks without receiving any bounty rewards initially.
• Bounty Phase: Once the money bubble bursts, players can win Mystery Bounties for each opponent they eliminate. Each elimination awards a Mystery Chest, with the amount inside remaining unknown until it is opened.
• Multiple Chests: Players can win several chests in one hand, and if the pot is split, the bounty can be divided as well. The Mystery Bounty pop-out feature lets players monitor bounty distribution, adding a strategic and exciting dimension to the game.

The popularity of this format is evident, as the $55 Lucky PKO $30,000 GTD was changed to a Mystery Bounty format and broke its record entry number by over 130, reaching 771 entries.

WPT Global Cash Games

WPT Global has rolled out new updates for cash game enthusiasts. After a player leaves a cash game and returns within 30 minutes, they now are required to buy-in for the same amount they left with. This feature is only applicable to No-Limit Hold’em (NLHE) and Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) games. PLO5 players will encounter the standard buy-in screen, where they can choose to buy-in for the same amount or a higher amount if they wish. This update aims to maintain game integrity and provide a consistent playing experience, preventing behaviors that damage games.

With these exciting updates and the introduction of the Mystery Bounty feature, WPT Global continues to enhance the online poker experience.
