WPT Day 22: Sanat Mehrotra Emerged Victorious On Adda52 After A Tough Fight


The World Poker Tour (WPT) event has reached its last stage. The much-loved tournament series will end this week. Several pro grinders took this as an opportunity to create a mark on the virtual felts of Adda52. Yesterday, two tournaments were hosted, namely the WPT Table for 6 and WPT Monday Feature 6 Max. Keep reading further to know more about the action that unfolded yesterday on Adda52.

WPT Table for 6 – ₹7 Lakh GTD

This ₹2,750 buy-in event was shipped by Sanat Mehrotra aka ‘mehro2511.’ This pro player took home ₹1,89,440 in prize money. Online reg Mehrotra had won three tourneys on the same day during IOPC January 2021. WPT Table for 6 had 296 entries in total and 30 players finished in the money. The min-cash stood at ₹5,920. The advertised guarantee of this tournament was surpassed and the final prize pool stood at ₹7,40,000. 

Players who made it in the money included names like Mohit Mehta (10th, ₹11,100), Sahil Mahboobani (22nd, ₹6,660), Shravan Chhabria (24th, ₹6,660), Ritwik Khanna (27th, ₹5,920), Tarush Gupta (28th, ₹5,920) among others.

WPT Monday Feature 6 Max – ₹15 Lakh GTD

This tournament had 352 entries in total. The top 38 players finished in the money and the min-cash paid was ₹9,000. The ₹3,500 buy-in tournament was shipped by an anonymous player who goes by the moniker ‘Csat82.’ This mystery player took home ₹3,75,000 in prize money. 

Several notable grinders from the poker circuit participated in this tournament. Players who made it in the money were Ritwik Khanna (9th, 37,500), IOPC July 2021 commentator Kanchan Sharma (20th, ₹12,000), Mohit Mehta (21st, ₹12,000), Gutshot’s June 2021 e-magazine cover star Siddhanth Kapoor (12th, ₹16,500), Shashank Desai (13, ₹16,500) among others.
