When Jason Koon’s Nines Did The Trick For Him At Triton Poker Series

Triton Poker Series London 2023 saw Jason Koon nail his ninth title of the series. Impressive? Hell yeah! You will be in awe of this poker pro when you see a hand that went down between this Vancouver BC resident and Tan Xuan. Koon is a true blue Triton Poker Series maestro and we have a video that proves it. 

Koon shipped the Short Deck Main Event for a sum of $828,000. That’s a lot of money, trust us when we say that poker gods have blessed Koon with impeccable poker skills and river cards that help him sail safely on a dicey board. What are we talking about? Jason Koon’s hole cards go nuclear

Koon had pocket nines and his rival Xuan had Cowboys. A premium hand in his kitty, Xuan had no clue how badly this would end for him. Xuan raised 330,000 preflop and Koon called.

The dealer fanned out a flop of 9 ♠ K ♠ Q ♦ which gave both players their respective sets. Once again Xuan places a bet of 330,000 and his opponent matches. A 7 of hearts showed up on the turn and Xuan threw in 750,000 and Koon jammed like a boss. 

The Chinese player took his time but made the call. Showdown saw KK vs 99 and only the river card was yet to be revealed. 9 of clubs came on the river and that gave Koon his quads which sank Xuan’s Kings which were not exactly safe in their full boat.
