Watson wins 5th title, Carrel three titles in PokerStars SCOOP!

Undoubtedly, it was a huge weekend across the international virtual felts with all eyes on PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). One of the prominent names to grab the fifth SCOOP title was Mike Watson in Event 66 High boosting his poker bankroll with $80.64K in prize money. The champion quite narrowly missed out on the sixth title in Event #65-H title, finishing runner-up for $29.09K!

In Event 65, Watson playing under the username ‘SirWatts’ entered the final day as chip leader but eventually settled in the second place. The tournament garnered a field of 193 entries which was outlasted by the former European Poker Tour (EPT) winner Noah Boeken aka ‘Exclusive’ who defeated Watson in heads-up and claimed $48,495 in prize money.

However, that was not enough for Watson who rode past the field of 198 entries in Event 66 – H becoming the tenth player to grab 5 SCOOP titles! The Canadian pro railed out ‘hotmark777’ in heads-up who bagged $63.08K for securing the runner-up position.

About a week ago, Charlie Carrel took down WPT Online Super High Roller and on Sunday he won PokerStars SCOOP title for the third time! The 70^th event garnered a field of 2,112 entries, creating a prize pool of $1.05 million. Carrel defeated Owain Carey aka ‘Sngwonder’ in heads-up and took home the largest slice of the prize pool, banking $67k for his victory along with $43k worth bounties!
