VOOT Is The Official Streaming Partner For PSL Season 4

Poker Sports League (PSL) Season 4 has brought OTT brand VOOT on board as the official streaming partner for PSL Season 4. The current edition of the popular poker league will have a phygital format. This means the poker league will be held online and live as well. With this association, viewers will be able to enjoy the live streams of the games on VOOT.

Pranav Bagai, CEO and Founder of PSL, said, “We are thrilled to partner again this year with VOOT for our upcoming season. As our majority of the audience are tech savvy and shifting towards OTT platforms to consume various modes of entertainment, partnering with VOOT for streaming was a prudent option. Through this association we endeavour to provide our users with the finest experience of poker possible.”

Season 4 will specially focus on the upcoming qualifiers, key pro-players, high investment bidding and significant retainers. In the selection ceremony, six teams were chosen from different regions of India. The teams are as follows: Delhi Czars, Deccan Aces, Goan Nuts, Gujarat Falcons, Mumbai Anchors, and Kolkata Kings. There will be a total of 36 qualifiers and 12 pro-players that will be a part of this season’s action. Along with this, the league also had six spots for women and six spots for substitutes.

“Given the substantial shift in content consumption to digital platforms in India, and the dynamicity of the Indian online poker industry, we decided to reach a wider audience and encourage them to play in every season. Our partnership with VOOT will screen an exclusive behind-the-scenes reality show ‘Poker Mantra’ in addition to the live streaming of the league,” Bagai further added.

PSL Season 4 began on 29th March and will run till 13th April with six to seven matches streamed virtually every week on VOOT. Adda52 and Deltin Royale have been announced as the online and venue partners, respectively. Since the pandemic, this will be the first time the season finale will be hosted live. The finale will take place on 20th – 24th April.
