Vishal Bajaj Nails ReCharge Title On Spartan Poker for 1.94 Lakh

With only four days into the new year, the poker activity on the online felts is still at an all-time high. This Monday, poker players brought their A-game to the high-value tournaments running on Spartan Poker, Adda52, and PokerBaazi. These tournaments saw a successful run with many of them crushing their advertised guarantee. The top spots were clinched by many online regs. Here’s a recap of the action.

ReCharge – ₹8.5 Lakh GTD

Spartan Poker’s ReCharge was the perfect boost players needed on Monday night. The tournament had an initial guarantee of ₹8.5 Lakh which was soon crushed with the final prize pool being ₹10 Lakh. There were a total of 500 entries that participated in the tournament with a buy-in worth ₹2,200. The top 47 players were in the money and were paid a min-cash of ₹5,700.

Taking the top spot was online reg Vishal Omprakash Bajaj aka ‘CrownUpJr’ who had a payday of ₹1,94,900. Bajaj also took home the Sunday Superstack title on Spartan Poker for ₹6.34 Lakh in November 2021 and the Adda52 Godfather title in September 2021 for ₹6.2 Lakh. In the runner-up seat was India Online Poker Championship (IOPC) July 2021 Main Event winner and Gutshot August 2021 cover boy Vaibhav Temani aka ‘Lang Syne’ formerly ‘allinpavbhaji’ who went home with ₹1,23,800. Temani had gone against poker legend Aaditya Agarwal to clinch his IOPC title.

Iron Man – ₹8 Lakh GTD

The Adda52 Iron Man tournament has been a favourite Monday tournament for poker players. The ₹2,200 buy-in event had a total of 490 entries and crushed its original guarantee. The final prize pool generated was ₹9,80,000. Players who made it to the top 49 places were paid and the min-cash given was ₹5,390.

Mystery player ‘ddplaying’ shipped the tournament and took home ₹1,89,367 in prize money. The runner-up of the event was Abhishek Majumder aka ‘Chamisback’ who walked away with ₹1,34,443 in his pockets.

Other players that made the money were Gadadhar Behera (3rd, ₹1,32,609), Anurag Srivastava (9th, ₹15,680), Aman Parakh (20th, ₹7,350), Nitesh Mallanar (25th, ₹6,370), Harsh Bubna (32nd, ₹6,370), Gaurav Sood (45th, ₹5,390), and Sanat Mehrotra (₹5,390).

The Big Show – ₹7.5 Lakh GTD

PokerBaazi’s The Big Show had a total of 546 entries participating in the event. The ₹2,750 buy-in tournament had an advertised guarantee of ₹7.5 Lakh. This was soon crushed with the final prize pool being ₹13,65,000. Players who finished in the top 63 places were paid and the min-cash given was ₹5,050. Grabbing the title spot was September 2021 Gutshot player of the month player Anmol Mehta aka ‘anzzzzz’ who added a prize money of ₹2,28,000 to his bankroll. The runner up was player ‘Psychomachine’ who went home with ₹2,23,000.

Players who made the money were Ashit Sharma (5th, ₹66,340), Tanmay Benara (6th, ₹53,240) Ankit Modi (7th, ₹44,360), Aman Parakh (9th, ₹26,620), Ritwik Khanna (22nd, ₹10,650), Mohit Mehta (34th, ₹8,190), Sanat Mehrotra (35th, ₹8,190), Vinay Rajpal (39th, ₹7,098), Gaurav Sood (52nd, ₹6,006), Shubham Agarwal (62nd, ₹5,050), and Bharat Vasan (63rd, ₹5,050).
