Virtue Poker Gearing Up To Host Celebrity Charity Tournament In June

Virtue Poker, a fast-growing poker platform that makes use of Ethereum blockchain technology will be hosting a celebrity charity poker tournament with NBA legend Paul Pierce. 

Through this charity tournament, Virtue poker aims to expand the reach of its cryptocurrency and blockchain projects. The tournament which will take place on 22 June, 2021 will have a total of 12 participants, including Paul Pierce, Phil Ivey, Ran Neuner, ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin, Etherenity CEO, Nick Rose among others. 

Phil Ivey and Virtue Poker go a long way, as the brand had announced its collaboration with the pro in 2017. Talking about this charity event, Ivey mentioned, “After working with Virtue Poker for more than three years, I am excited to see the platform launch such a stream. I am glad to be a part of their first live stream on this innovative platform.”

The Texas Hold’em tournament will have two starting tables, each set-up by three players, who will then advance to the final stage. Each player will independently fund his or her bankroll wallets, retain control over their respective virtual funds and play the tournament. This event will be broadcasted by Twitch, one of the world’s largest live streaming platforms. Additionally, viewers can also switch to private channels hosted by the players who will participate in the tournament.

Along with a star-studded charity tournament, Virtue Poker will also let viewers predict the outcomes of the tournament and win prizes accordingly during the live stream. The winner of this event will get to choose which charity the proceeds of the event should be contributed to. 

This particular tournament marks a milestone for Virtue Poker as the brand just completed a $5 million investment round in April. The team of Virtue Poker plans to expand its reach beyond poker and venture into the world of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT). Several NFT’s will also be given away during the charity tournament that will take place on 22 June, 2021.
