USOP 2023: Sood And Munot Finish In The Top 10 Spots In HR Megastack

Indian pros have been making headlines at the U Series of Poker (USOP) 2023. Two of the most well-known pros from the Indian poker circuit Gaurav Sood and Ashish Munot made the final table in the High Roller Megastack event and took the sixth and ninth spots respectively. 

Sood added VND 369,800,000 to his bankroll while Munot took a pay cheque of VND 209,000,000. The ultimate champion at the High Roller Megastack winner was Đao Minh Phu who took down the trophy and a prize money worth VND 2,154,000,000.

Talking about other Indian pros, we have Kunal Patni who finished 43rd for a payday of VND 24,000,000 in the Mini Main Event. Other players like Harsh Dev Jhirmiria (VND 33,000,000), Gautam Rohilla (27,000,000), Arjanveer Singh Chadha (60th for VND 20,000,000), Ramesh Rao Thotapalli (66th for VND 19,000,000), Ankit Jajodia ( 70th for VND 19,000,000), Amit Kaushik ( 80th for VND 18,000,000), Ashish Ahuja (73rd for VND 18,000,000) and Sumit Sapra (44th for VND 24,000,000) made the money in this tournament.

The Mini Main Event had a final prize pool of VND 5,494,000,000  (~USD 228,110) with 89 places paid. This tournament registered  708 total entries (477 unique) with the buy-in at VND 8,800,000 (~USD 372) for an advertised guarantee of VND 2,000,000,000 (~USD 83,040). 

Coming to the Mystery Rush Bounty event, we have Mohak Kapoor and Rajeev Kanjani finishing in the top 15 spots. Kanjani took the 12th spot for VND 10,300,000, Kapoor added VND 32,100,000 to his bankroll. Coming to Event 21, we have Amit Kaushik took the seventh spot for a payday of VND 13,600,000. Event 22 saw Ahuja Ashish finish 15th for VND 7,700,000 and Jasven Saigal took VND 7,000,000 for his 16th place finish.

The High Roller Superstack tournament had Vishal Ojha (16th for VND 111,000,000) and Kunal Patni (19th for VND 89,000,000) make money.
