USOP 2023: Kunal Patni Wins High Roller: The Finale Event

Kunal Patni has shined brightly at the ongoing U Series of Poker (USOP) 2023 with the poker pro shipping Event #34 High Roller: The Finale. He added to the success Indian players have tasted in the series. After two days of fierce competition, Patni won the Event #34. The event saw 113 entries battle it out for glory, with only nine players making it to the second day of the High Roller event. It is also worth noting that Abhinav Iyer was also on the final table.

Jaydeep Dawer was amongst the first members to share the happy news on his Instagram Stories. It is worth noting that the High Roller event saw Patni’s stunning performance earn him a prize of VND 2.4 Billion that roughly translates to ₹82.5 Lakh.

The winning hand saw Patni (A K ) be the aggressor against Ethan Luan (J 3 ), with the Indian poker pro making a call of 500K pre-flop. Luan made a check after the flop of 7 3 K popped up as Patni bet 1 Million, which was called.

The same pattern continued on the turn card of 6 , with the bet sitting at $2 Million. 9 fell on the river. Luan checked once again, which saw Patni jamming 51 Million into the pot! Luan called, which saw the King-pair being enough to hand Patni the title at the Crown Poker Club.

Talking about Indians at the USOP 2023, Vishal Ojha made the news after he shipped the coveted USOP 2023 Hanoi Main Event. The pro successfully won the prestigious title against a strong field of 1,336 players and won VND 4,952,000,000 (~ ₹1,70,69,357). Apart from him, Arjanveer Singh Chadha also made it big and shipped his first-ever live title.

The Indian contingent has fared well in this Asian poker series and it will only promote more participation in such live tournaments! It remains interesting to see how Indian poker players continue to dominate in the Asian poker games.
