#TransformationTuesday: Every Chip Matters At The End Says Aayush Aggarwal

Hello poker fanatics! What are Tuesdays about, if not major transformations of players in the game? In our #TransformationTuesday article, we take a look at some of the pros in the making who had major winnings in the recent past. One such pro who we came across was Aayush Aggarwal. He shipped the IOPC #92 tournament and cashed INR 2,00,500. Aggarwal hails from Siliguri and is a businessman. He has been playing poker for three years. We had a chat with Aggarwal to know more about his IOPC win and his take on the game.

For how long have you been playing poker?

I have been playing poker for the last three years.

How were you first introduced to poker?

I was introduced to the game by my friends, when they used to play poker, I was their dealer. After dealing cards for a brief period of time, I started learning the game in the process.

You shipped the Destiny tournament during IOPC 2021. How was the feeling?

It was a great feeling winning an IOPC title as it was like a dream come true. This IOPC title is the second one after joining the esteemed Poker Bootcamp India.

One strategy you know works best for you.

I have learnt in the course of time that even the last chip on the table counts. Hence, one must play extremely cautiously.

Which was your biggest win so far?

The amount that I won in the IOPC tournament of INR 2,00,500 was my biggest win so far.

Do you have any mentors in the Indian poker circuit?

Yes, my mentors are Abhishek Goindi, Tanay Hargunaney and Manish Lakhotia.

As a poker player, where do you see yourself in the next five years?

In the next five years, I wish to see myself as an extremely successful poker player.

Are there any players who you look up to? If yes, please name them.

Yes, I look up to American poker pro Stu Ungar.

We hope to see this poker champion win more tournaments in the future. For more updates about poker players and their games, keep reading GutshotMagazine.com. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram.
