The latest UVS Millionaire Lite champion Sumit Sapra aka ‘Sands Myth’ powered through the field to claim the Thursday flagship event after defeating Wednesday Destiny winner ‘icantwin’ in heads-up.
The head-turner on Thursday, the INR 8,250 buy-in The Summit was the biggest attraction of PokerBaazi last night. Promising INR 20 Lakh, a total of 285 entries took their seat which collected a prize pool worth INR 21.38 Lakh. Walking away with the lion’s share of prize money worth INR 4.72 Lakh was ‘Saranraj1987’. It was Grinders Main Event winner ‘borntrouble’ finishing second and securing INR 3.31 Lakh.
The flagship tourney AOPS Godfather INR 30 Lakh GTD was one of the showstopper events on Adda52 last night. Riding past the competition was circuit reg Shashank Jain aka ‘felter’ who defeated Puneet Mishra aka ‘j4jolly’ in heads-up and conquered a field of 662 entries. Jain quickly secured a hefty INR 7.61 Lakh in first prize while the latter earned INR 4.39 Lakh for settling in the second place.
Online reg Vivek Singh aka ‘Mystic Peaks’ powered through the field to take down Highroller INR 15 Lakh GTD on PokerStars India last night. INR 7,700 buy-in event drew 219 entries collecting a slightly larger prize pool. Singh dominated ‘Corpo08’ in heads-up and banked the first-place prize money of INR 3.01 Lakh.
Another event on PokerStars India to kick off at 9:30 pm was Battle Royale INR 5 Lakh GTD. Paying INR 2,750, a total of 215 runners registered themselves hunting for the title. After several intense hours, the last man standing was Sandy Lamba aka ‘Ziigmunddd’ who eliminated ‘chittu10’ in heads-up to get the best of the prize pool. Lamba walked out with INR 52,772 in prize money while his opponent secured INR 38,873.
