The 5,500 buy-in tourney eventually collected a bigger prize pool of INR 31.20 Lakh, well-received by the top 60 players. Racing ahead of the rest to book his seat to SnG Finale was ‘icantwin’ who won the tournament and claimed the first prize. Last week’s ReCharge champ Raghav Madan aka ‘Maddytilt’ ended up in the second place while Anant Purohit aka ‘Pro’ followed next.
Spartan Poker hosted INR 4 Lakh GTD Mega Freeze drawing 131 entries last night. The top 17 players finished ITM securing INR 6.2K at least. Taking home the lion’s chunk of prize pool was Anish Suri aka ‘anishsuri’ who defeated ‘BlueWhale222’ in heads-up to seize the latest title!
PokerBaazi’s marquee Wednesday Tourney, The Pride INR 10 Lakh GTD clocked 334 entries to generate a prize pool of INR 10.02 Lakh. The top 36 players secured a paycheck. Capturing the title was Suraj Todi aka ‘soorajtodi’ who ran past a host of regs to take down the flagship event. Todi knocked out Sagar Choudhury aka ‘sagarpupul’ in heads-up for INR 2.21 Lakh in top prize while the latter banked INR 1.55 Lakh. Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid’ finished 3rd for INR 99,900.
The INR 3 Lakh GTD Wednesday SuperStack attracted 142 entries on PokerBaazi. At 2:19 am, the last man standing was Shashank Desai aka ‘indianrat’ who traversed the field to win the top prize of INR 77,250 after defeating ‘TheShowdown’ in heads-up. The latter earned INR 54,090 for finishing in the second position.
One of the main attractions on Adda52 last night was AOPS Maverick INR 15 Lakh GTD recording a field of 788 entries. Accumulating a prize pool of INR 17.92 Lakh, the top 82 players secured a min-cash. Arjanveer Chadha aka ‘arjan30’ ran past the field and bested Sumit Advani aka ‘runrabbitrun’ in heads-up to pocket a top prize worth INR 4.48 Lakh.
Boasting INR 10 Lakh in prize pool, PokerStars India’s flagship tourney Night on Stars fetched 330 entries after each paid INR 2,750. Outlasting the field to take home the valuable title was Ankit Wadhawan aka ‘b00mtr00mp3r’ who eliminated ‘dangermouse84’ in heads-up for INR 1.85 Lakh in prize money while his opponent earned INR 1.36 Lakh. It was only last Wednesday that the champ won PokerBaazi’s The Pride for INR 2.39 Lakh.
