Thailand Gains Public Support to Legalise Casinos

The indicator that this is then correct move was an vast majority of respondants in a public hearing were positive about opening up the country for casinos.

With strong public support and the promise of increased tourism, foreign investment, and tax revenue, this development could position Thailand as a major gaming hub in Southeast Asia.

Legalising and regulating poker could help curb illegal gambling operations while providing a safer and more transparent environment for players. By creating legal avenues for poker enthusiasts, Thailand could attract both domestic and international players. Currently, Asian countries and cities are becoming a major hub for poker enthusiasts, with places like Cambodia, Macau, and Singapore  participating in casino gaming.

Experts argue that allowing Thai citizens to participate under regulated conditions could significantly boost state revenue while ensuring responsible gambling practices.
