The WSOP bracelet is among the most revered prizes in the poker industry, and its history goes back to the 1970s. The design has changed through the years, but the prestige of winning the bracelet has only increased. The first Indian to win one was Aditya Sushant, who did so after he teamed with Nipun Java in 2017 at the tag-team Event #10: $1000 NLH at WSOP 2017.
The first female Indian WSOP bracelet winner is Nikita Luther, who partnered with Germany’s Giuseppe Pantaleo for Event #55 of WSOP 2018. In 2019, Abhinav Iyer became the first Indian to win a solo WSOP bracelet at Event #84 – $1500 NLHE. He also took a paycheck of $5,65,346 (~₹ 3,87 Crore). Since then, Kartik Ved, Santhosh Suvarna, and Aditya Agarwal have joined the list. Suvarna has won two WSOP bracelets.
