Sriharsha Doddapaneni has completed his fantastic run at EPT Barcelona, but not before making the Indian poker community proud. He finished 12th on the Day 6 of the €5300 EPT Barcelona Main Event and exited. He was eliminated and took home €89,550 (~₹80 Lakh).
Doddapaneni kicked off Day 5 with a formidable presence, holding the fifth-largest stack of 2.73 million chips. Throughout the day, he combined aggressive play with strategic risks, showcasing the skills that have solidified his status as one of India’s top poker professionals.
At the beginning of Day 5, Doddapaneni had the fifth largest stack of 2.73 Million chips. He first flew into Yurii Zabrodotskyi, who opened for 100K from the cutoff. Doddapaneni found logic in calling from the small blind. At the flop of 2 ♦ 6 ♠ and A ♠, Dodappaneni check-called a 75K bet from the Ukranian. At the turn came 4 ❤ , Yuri put forth a 450K bet. The showdown came at the river J ♣, and Zabrodotskyi took the pot with a king-high of K ❤ Q ♣, as compared to Doddapaneni’s missed flush draw with K ♠ and 10 ♠.
Later in the day, Doddapaneni clashed with Luka Sorainen. Sorainen was defending his big blind, and the flop came down K ♠ J ❤ 8 ♠. Sorainen check-called Doddapaneni bet. The turn was 8 ♠, leading to Sorainen checking again. Doddapanenni went all in, while Sorainen folded. Doddapaneni by now had a healthy stack of 2.5 Million. As Day 5 wound, Doddapaneni built his stack to 3.37 Million and ended with 3.21 Million at 8th position.
On Day 6, Doddapaneni moved in for 1,620,000 from the button. Stephen Song called from the small blind. Doddapaneni showed up with K ♦ J ❤ . Stephen Song showed A ♦ K ♠. The board greeted them with 10 ♣ 8 ♣ 6 ♠5 ♣ 8 ♠. The Indian player left the felts in 12th position.
The poker fraternity looked forward to Sriharsha proving his mettle further in the tournament, but that wasn’t to be. His EPT outing has worked well for his rankings and bank balance.
Doddapaneni had a fantastic time in Barcelona, and his resilient play will show up in his bank balance. He takes home around ₹80 Lakh. Before this, his previous best live cash had been $33,830 at WPT Vietnam, which took place at the Crown Poker Club, Hanoi in October 2023, when he shipped the Mega Stack High Roller Event.

This also increases his all-time cash-out substantially, moving him higher in the All-Time India Rankings. The Indian poker community was waiting with bated breath to see where Doddapaneni would get off in the Main Event, and that was revealed now.

EPT Barcelona started on 26th August and will end on 8th September, and has hosted 47 events at Casino Barcelona. The schedule had various buy-ins, ranging from €1,100 Estrellas Main Event to the €100,000 Super High Roller.
