Siddhanth Kapoor To Host ‘Poker For A Cause’ Tournament On PokerHigh

A virus that has disrupted the lives of global citizens like any other catastrophe. The pandemic has led to people across the globe pouring in for the ones in need and attaining solace from the goodwill of the ones in trouble. The Indian subcontinent has gone through much turmoil and is still battling through the COVID-19 pandemic. While people and companies from across the world are making colossal amounts of contribution the poker community is also doing its share. 

The Indian players have extended help in every way possible. One among them, who has been giving his full despite stringent lockdown, pandemic, and the vulnerable fallout of the society is Siddhanth Kapoor. 

He started with donating plasma for COVID-19 patients and urged his Instagram community to follow suit. The actor turned philanthropist recently also started a #Mumbai plasma drive in association with Red FM 93.5 and Aaarnaav Shirshat. The drive started on 2 May and will go on till 31 May. Kapoor is also advocating the ‘Find a Bed’ initiative where he has been supporting 20,000 students across 160 cities to help find a bed or build a quarantine centre for COVID-19 patients.

Yet again, the recreational poker player will be hosting a poker tournament, and is one of the strongest pillars of the ‘Poker for a cause – where our community stands for humanity.’ The tournament is slated to take place on 30 May at 6 PM on PokerHigh to raise money for hospital beds in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. The buy-in for this tournament is ₹1500, out of which ₹1050 goes for the prize pool and ₹450 for the cause.

2. Register on the ‘Poker For A Cause’ tournament 

Kapoor has raised ₹15 lakh so far and plans to raise even more with the initiatives that he is taking. The tournament will be supported by an NGO Pudhiya Udhayam, charitable organization CUPA (Compassion Unlimited Plus Action), and Golden Goose Sports Private Limited. 

COVID-19 has strained our medical facilities, changed the way we work, play or support any cause. This is the time to take a step and support such causes in every way possible. The virus has changed the way we look at the world, no doubt, but let us stand together and bring about a better and compassionate world post-pandemic.
