Royal Marriage Fails Siddhanth

In the middle of the poker room, we had an interesting hand develop at Table 14. Siddhanth Kripalani bet 13,000 preflop with his Royal Couple. Laksh Pal Singh called the bet with Treys (3 , 3 ) and Akhil raised to 52,000. The other two called and the flop opened to 2 4 9 T 4 . The action checks to the turn T and Kripalani who flopped a flush draw bet 110,000 as he also started chasing a straight on the turn. Singh called the bet and the river brought 4 after which Kripalani bet 120,000 in an attempt to bluff and Singh who rivered two pairs (44, 33) snap called. When the cards flipped on the board, Kirpalani was left disappointed with his King-Queen and suffered a heavy blow to his chip stack. Singh chips upped and will likely be one of the players that will move on to Day 2 of the IPC 100K High Roller. Well, there’s one lesson that we can take away from this, and that’s to be careful when you bluff!

  • Singh: 3 , 3
  • Kripalani: K Q
  • Board: 2 4 9 T 4
