Rajat Sharma wins PokerStars India Battle Royale PKO


PokerStars India, with its inauguration in the country back in April 2018, has gone on to make a name for themselves locally. Top pros of the community always sign up to the platform’s weekly offerings, with quite a lot of new and improved tournaments hosted over time.

One of PokerStars India’s weekly offerings, Battle Royale 6-max PKO INR 8 Lakhs GTD, was hosted last night as Monday’s feature tournament. The tournament, for a buy-in of INR 3,850, saw a total of 236 entries (including 114 re-entries) to the virtual felts.

Out of the top 41 paid places (min-cash INR 3,141), Rajat Sharma aka ‘sharabikebabi’ finished on top of the field, earning INR 1,83,442 (including Bounty amount of INR 1,07,296) and the title. He beat ‘ksc1000’ in heads-up to secure his win.

Sharma is a known community regular and is well-respected all over the country. He earned the PokerStars India Highroller title late last month. He has numerous cashes from various online poker tournaments on all leading platforms.

His recent wins include Spartan Mega Stack and Adda52 Mega Suits. He was also among Destiny 7.0 finalists. In the live circuit, he has pay-checks all from India, his biggest being the INR 3.2 Lakhs he earned as runner-up in the 2017 WPT India Deep Turbo event.

Last night’s Battle Royale tournament began at the usual 8 pm on PokerStars India and was in the books by 2.43 am today morning. The pay-outs started flowing after ‘sid1599’ busted at 42nd place, with the first to cash was ‘bruce.lee0247’ at 41st.

Some regs to finish in the money include Siddhanth Kapoor aka ‘bullzeyepower’ (7th – INR 30,395), Pranav Bang aka ‘dak0o’ (8th – INR 24,435), Goonjan Mall aka ‘gmtesting.ind’ (10th – INR 12,367), Sagar Choudhury aka ‘sagarpupull’ (16th – INR 6,555), Rubin Labroo aka ‘kornkid4’ (18th – INR 5,537), Arsh Grover aka ‘BiggggTymeR’ (36th – INR 7,516), Nikhil Ramesh aka ‘rn275’ (38th – INR 12,000).
